SKAL
Skal is a non-profit inspection body located in the Netherlands for the organic production of textiles.
Skal’s final aim is to offer certainty to the consumer that a product with the indication “organic” really originates from an organic production process. Skal realizes this by an independent survey of the organic producers by means of inspection and certification.
SKAL surveys organic production by visiting farms, examining the soil, and tissue samples.
The certification process includes the entire process of growing the cotton, spinning the fibers, and storing the yarns at the production site.
The organic yarns used in THE PURISTS are certified by SKAL.
